October 5th, 2024 from the St. Clair College Classic Gym in Windsor, Ontario
October 5th, 2024 from the St. Clair College Classic Gym in Windsor, Ontario
- Opening Segment
We are welcomed to the broadcast by our announce team of Dave Prazak and newly assignment color commentator Don Callis. They run down the card and some of the recent happenings, including the events that have lead to our Unsanctioned main event between Lance Storm and Jerry Lynn and the Power Players. They inform us that the referee will be there to call the match to a finish, but UCW General Manager Adam Pearce has made it clear that UCW will not be held responsible for any damages incurred in this contest. Callis says this a grudge match and a fight, and he suggests anyone who brought small children leave early tonight. We head to the ring for our first match of the evening! - Chris Kanyon vs. Nova vs. Too Cold Scorpio
Kanyon was playing the bad guy here, very smug and using underhanded tactics. Too Cold Scorpio was the overwhelming face, and Nova was there to seemingly take some of the bigger moves from these two. Kanyon looked like he might have the match won with the Flatliner, but Scorpio came off the top with the 450 Splash to break it up and then pin Kanyon for the win!
Winner: Too Cold Scorpio - Promo with Jerry Lynn and Lance Storm
These two are both very intense, and let the fans and the Power Players know that they aren't coming into tonight as wrestlers or athletes, but men, ready for a fight! Lynn yells into the camera that he is out for blood, and then we head back to the ring. Don Callis remarks that he's known both men for a lot of years now, but he's never seen them like this! - London & Kendrick vs. Youthanazia (Josh Prohibition & Matt Cross)
Youthanazia managed to get the win over London and Kendrick at "Summer Storm", and London and Kendrick were determined not to let that be a repeat. Brian Kendrick was especially aggressive tonight, really trying to lay a beating on his opponents that bordered on heel territory. London hit a spectacular Shooting Star Plancha at one point. Matt Cross also would perform a magnificent twisting dive to the outside that really had these fans fired up. The ending sequence saw Prohibition stop London up top and he looked to give him a Super T-Bone Suplex, but Kendrick grabbed his leg to stop it. London jumped off the top and caught Cross on the apron with a Huracanrana to the floor in a truly marvelous display! Kendrick then delivered a modified version of the Sliced Bread #2, pushing off the turn post and driving Prohibition to the mat from the middle turnbuckle to secure the win!
Winners: London & Kendrick
After the match, it was Prohibition who would get on the microphone and challenge London and Kendrick to a rubber match at the next show. London quickly accepted, but Kendrick looked a little less than eager to do that again. - Promo with The Power Players
Backstage, Justin Credible and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas stood with Francine, and they certainly didn't seem as intense as their opponents did earlier in the evening. Douglas says that they've been a step ahead of Lynn and Storm at every turn, and that doesn't change tonight! Credible says they should be careful what they wish for, because tonight, they are going to get the beating of their lives! Douglas says they should've learned their lesson and just walked away, but now they aren't going to be able to walk at all once they are done with them tonight! Big laugh from Douglas as Credible is smirking and Francine looks satisfied hanging on the arm of "The Franchise". We head back to the ring. - Reckless Youth vs. Steve Corino
This conflict has been brewing for months, and a challenge from Youth caused Corino to step away from commentating and make a return to the ring. Corino has constantly called Youth unprofessional and an embarrassment to the sport, while Youth suggested that Corino is just jealous of his success because they both started out at the same time but Youth was still active and Corino had been relegated to the commentary table. Corino would try to embarrass Youth in this match, showing him no respect throughout, but that would cost him. Corino would take too long setting up to deliver a Superkick to Youth, which lead to Reckless Youth dodging the strike and rolling up Corino for the three count!
Winner: Reckless Youth
Corino was clearly embarrassed by this, and was quick to challenge Youth to a rematch, calling the outcome a fluke! Youth said it was no fluke, and he'd gladly beat Corino again, anytime, anywhere! - Promo with the House of Truth
UCW Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal is standing with the Northern Express with Truth Martini front and center. Truth says that tonight will be a sad one for their enemies, which are many. He said tonight will be a lesson that in life you should choose your friends wisely, because you may be found guilty by association and suffer the consequences! He then prods the Northern Express, saying they have a match next. We head back to ringside. - Northern Express ("Perfect" Shawn Spears & "Showtime" Eric Young) w/ Truth Martini vs. Delirious & Jimmy Jacobs
This wasn't so much a match as it was a mugging. Dave Prazak notes that Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs have a long history with the likes of Matt Sydal and the Motor City Machine Guns, and the Northern Express want what the Machine Guns have, and that's the UCW Tag Team titles. They've been engrossed in a bitter rivalry, and Delirious and Jacobs were paying the price tonight. The Northern Express looked like they could have the win at any time past the six minute mark, but Truth Martini handed them in a couple of chairs! The referee called for the bell, as they began their assault! Spike Piledriver to Jacobs onto a chair!
Winners by Disqualification: Delirious & Jimmy Jacobs
Out run the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, in street clothes, and we have a fight on our hands! Officials and security quickly hit the ring and break this up. Truth Martini is laughing, calling them all a bunch of losers as he leads the Northern Express back up the ramp. - "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. Devon Storm
Eddie Edwards took on Devon Storm here, who was showing a much meaner streak tonight. Storm would try to throw everything in his arsenal at Edwards, using chairs and the outside area to his advantage. Edwards would live up to his nickname, and regained the advantage after getting the knees up to block a Split Legged Moonsault. Edwards would deliver the Boston Knee Party to get the victory.
Winner: Eddie Edwards
After the match, Edwards says he doesn't care what is going on with the House of Truth, Johnny Gargano, Matt Sydal, the Motor City Machine Guns, whatever! He hasn't been given a chance at the UCW Heavyweight Title, and he wants what he deserves! He says that coward Jay Lethal needs to put up the belt next month! Adam Peare makes his way out and says Edwards has a point, and that next month, he will get his shot at Jay Lethal! The fans certainly approved of this. - Backstage Segment: Johnny Gargano and the Motor City Machine Guns
Johnny Gargano has a match coming up, and he and the Motor City Machine Guns are backstage. Shelley lets Gargano know that they are going to be watching his back, because he doubts that the House of Truth are done for tonight. Gargano says he hopes they come out there so he can kick their teeth down their throats! Sabin says he's ready for round two, and he can't wait these assholes in the ring! We head back to ringside. - Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs. Second City Saints (Ace Steel & Colt Cabana)
The Second City Saints would have a pretty good showing here, but Daniels and Kazarian were on fire. They showed that they were very driven tonight, and seemed to have a little extra snap in everything that they were doing. The ending sequence saw Kazarian dive through the ropes and catch Cabana with a DDT on the floor! From there, Daniels caught Steel with the Angel's Wings and got the three count.
Winners: Bad Influence
Daniels would get on the microphone and say that they want a shot at the UCW Tag Team titles, but he knows they've got something to prove to get there... that's why next month, they want War Machine in a number one contender's match for the belts! He says the Northern Express might be trying to make their claim for the titles, but when they beat War Machine, the whole rest of the tag division will be under the Influence, baby! - Johnny Gargano vs. Roderick Strong
These two know each other very well, and this was a heated, bitter back and forth contest. Strong seemed like he was out to hurt Gargano and prove a point tonight, really trying to punish him by throwing him into the ring steps and guardrail, and slamming him on the announcer's table at one point. Gargano would manage to mount a comeback and looked like he might have the match won with his One Final Beat DDT, but Strong kicked out! That's when Jay Lethal arrived from up the ramp, holding his title belt on his shoulder, looking very smug. Lethal would get up on the apron and start smack talking Gargano. The referee would tell Lethal to leave, as Gargano was distracted. Out from the crowd came the Northern Express! But then out from the back ran the Motor City Machine Guns, chairs in hand! The Northern Express would grab Gargano, only to have the Machine Guns slide in and attack them with the chairs! It's all out mayhem at ringside! Boom! Strong takes advantage and catches Gargano with the Sick Kick, and makes the cover, getting the three count!
Winner: Roderick Strong
The Northern Express and the Motor City Machine Guns fight off through the crowd as Jay Lethal smiles at the fallen body of Gargano, waving the title over his face. That's when "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards makes his way out and into the ring! Edwards stands nose to nose with Lethal. Roderick Strong looks like he might have something to say about that, as he and Edwards certainly have history, but Edwards warns him to back off. Truth Martini is in the ring now and pulls Lethal back, telling him it's not worth it, knowing how dangerous Edwards is. Edwards tells Lethal he is taking the belt next month, but Lethal tells him to keep dreaming and walks off with Martini. Martini and Lethal are heading up the ramp when Martini reaches in his pocket and grabs a wad of cash. He flashes it and looks at Strong, and then nods his head in the direction of Edwards. Edwards catches this and turns around, and BAM! Strong sucker punches the Boston native, taking him down! Strong then grabs a chair and lays into Edwards' right leg with it! Dave Prazak yells that Strong is trying to injure Edwards before his title match, and Callis says that was a brilliant play by Martini! - Advertisement for "Survival of the Strongest"
We see a video package advertising next month's event, "Survival of the Strongest", live from Toronto, Ontario, at the Ted Reeves Arena on November 2nd. - Unsanctioned Match: Jerry Lynn & Lance Storm vs. The Power Players (Justin Credible & "The Franchise" Shane Douglas) w/ Francine
All four men came to this match in street clothes. The bell would sound, and there were no tags going to be made, rope breaks, any of that happening here. We had a good old fashioned brawl on our hands, and all four men came for a street fight! Lynn and Storm got the better of things early, running on pure intensity. Lynn and Storm are two of the best technical wrestlers in the world, but they showed here they could really throw hands, and Credible and Douglas looked like they were in trouble. Francine got involved and kicked Storm low as he was dealing with Credible on the outside. Near the end, Jerry Lynn looked like he might actually give Francine the Cradle Piledriver, when a large man came barreling in from the crowd in a black hoodie! Lynn looked stunned and dropped Francine... GORE! GORE! GORE! The man ripped off the hoodie, and Don Callis yelled out that it's RHINO! "THE BIG F'N DEAL" IS IN UCW! Douglas would send Storm into the ring, and Storm would stumble right into a Gore as well! Douglas and Credible hit the ring, and Rhino would lift Lynn up... Triple Team Powerbomb onto a chair! The referee is calling this off and the bell is ringing. The referee is calling for help as Francine sets up a table on the outside.
No Contest
Rhino has Storm on the apron... officials and security are running out to try to stop this, but it's too late. PILEDRIVER OFF THE APRON THROUGH A TABLE! RHINO HAS DEMOLISHED LANCE STORM! Rhino gets back to his feet, and the Power Players all celebrate the carnage they have created on the outside as the show comes to an end.
